SUMMARY:Community Support and Resilience Group for Political Anxiety (Grup de sprijin și reziliență comunitară pentru anxietatea politică)
DESCRIPTION:In the context of European Mental Health Week 2026\, Choice will organise a community support and resilience group for political anxiety in Bucharest\, with a Cluj edition to be announced. The event responds to the growing emotional impact of political polarisation\, war\, economic insecurity\, democratic backsliding\, disinformation\, and constant exposure to distressing news. \nIts goal is to facilitate a non-clinical community space where participants can reflect on how social and political realities affect their wellbeing\, feel less isolated in these experiences\, and explore ways of remaining grounded\, connected\, and engaged. The group will combine short psychoeducational input\, guided reflection\, simple grounding practices\, and discussion centered on solidarity\, values\, and sustainable civic engagement. \nThe event is especially relevant to EMHW because it approaches mental health not only as an individual matter\, but also as something shaped by wider structural and social conditions. It reflects Choice’s Public and Community Psychology approach\, which emphasises evidence-based practice\, human rights\, systemic determinants of mental health\, and community resilience. The groups will be facilitated by Choice members who are Psychologists and Psychotherapists. This is not group psychotherapy and does not provide diagnosis or treatment\, but rather a community-based space for support and resilience. \n  \nhttps://www.instagram.com/asociatiachoice \nhttps://www.facebook.com/asociatiachoice
