SUMMARY:Voices of youth mental health in Central & Eastern Europe: stronger together
DESCRIPTION:This regional online session brings together youth voices\, practitioners\, mental health advocates\, and organisations from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) to explore how social\, digital\, and structural changes are shaping youth mental health across the region. \nAs part of the broader “Voices of Youth Mental Health in CEE” campaign\, the session will showcase lived experiences\, emerging insights from youth-led storytelling\, and ongoing efforts to redesign mental health services to be more accessible\, community-based\, and person-centred. \n  \nThe event will combine short inputs from youth contributors and regional experts with an interactive discussion across countries. Participants will engage in a cross-country learning exchange\, reflecting on shared challenges such as inequity\, service gaps\, and the pressures faced by young people\, while also showcasing innovative\, community-driven responses from across the region. \n  \nBy centring youth voices\, particularly those with mental health conditions\, and collective experiences\, the session aims to move beyond individualised narratives of mental health and instead foreground the structural conditions shaping wellbeing in CEE.\nThe event is hosted by Let’s CEE\, a regional initiative working to develop youth-friendly\, walk-in mental health services across Central and Eastern Europe through participatory and community-based approaches. \n  \nhttps://lets-cee.com/

SUMMARY:artCEE: a regional call for creative submissions on the topic of ‘Resilience to Me’
DESCRIPTION:artCEE is a regional\, participatory call for action organised by Let’s CEE. We are inviting individuals across Central and Eastern Europe to submit creative works—including photography\, visual art\, and poetry—exploring personal and collective understandings of “Resilience to Me” or what resilience and mental health means to them. Open to all\, the call aims to amplify diverse voices and lived experiences of mental health across the region\, particularly among youth. \nLet’s CEE is a not-for-profit initiative standing up for youth mental health across Central and Eastern Europe. We implemented low-intensity mental health care for youth locally\, and come together as a regional community of practice. \nAs part of artCEE\, all submissions will be showcased online as part of European Mental Health Week\, creating a collective exhibition that reflects the plurality of resilience in changing social\, cultural\, and political contexts. \nThe project positions creative expression as both a reflective tool and a form of advocacy\, highlighting how individuals and communities navigate challenges\, inequality\, and transformation. It also provides a platform for underrepresented voices\, particularly young people\, to contribute to regional mental health narratives. \nWe will accept submissions until 5th May. At this point we will gather all submissions and create a virtual exhibition which will be launched during the Let’s CEE Webinar for European Mental Health Week. We will be hosting further\, in person exhibitions in CEE cities through May and the summer of 2026. \n  \nhttps://lets-cee.com/
