Burnout among healthcare professionals has reached critical levels across Europe, driven by chronic workplace stress, heavy workloads, and systemic challenges that undermine wellbeing. As health systems struggle to retain and support their workforce, the question of how to effectively prevent burnout has never been more urgent.
This timely webinar, hosted by EPHA during European Mental Health Week, will bring together the Chair and Co-Chairs of Working Group 4 (WG4) of the Strategic Partners’ Initiative for Data and Digital Health, led by WHO/Europe. The session will explore the complex drivers behind burnout in healthcare and highlight why addressing it requires a systemic, multi-level response.
The discussion will focus in particular on the double-edged role of digital technologies: while digital tools can contribute to stress when poorly implemented, they also hold great potential as part of the solution. Speakers will present WG4’s latest work on how responsible, data-driven, and workforce-centered digital innovation can help identify early warning signs, reduce administrative burden, and foster healthier work environments.
Join EPHA to explore how we can move from digital strain to digital strength, and create sustainable, supportive systems for the people who care for us.
