EMHW 2026 – How to get involved

European Mental Health Week is a pan-European moment for collective action.

Each year, Mental Health Europe brings together civil society organisations, community groups, policymakers, professionals, people with lived experience, and the wider public to:

  • Raise awareness about mental health
  • Shift narratives away from stigma and individual blame
  • Highlight the social, political, and structural factors that shape mental health
  • And showcase solutions rooted in human rights and community-based care

Should I get involved?

Each year, we encourage our members and partners to get involved.

So, if you care about mental health, or are involved in health and social policy or practices, or if you have a role in the media, then the short answer is yes!

This is an opportunity for you to join the movement to share, learn, and educate, and to demonstrate your commitment to mental health.

How can I get involved?

There are a number of ways you can participate, whether as an individual or as an organisation:

  • Join or sponsor our MHE running team for the 20 km of Brussels 2026;
  • Participate in our events or organise your own (panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, you name it!);
  • Social media engagement around the campaign;
  • And much more!

Here are some guidelines to crafting your own official EMHW 2026 event:

Deadline for submissions: Friday 10 April, 4:00PM CEST

We look forward to having you with us, since we are always Stronger Together!
