Take Care at Circus Connect: mental health in circus arts
This event will be part of a larger encounter, called Circus Connect.
Circus Connect 2026 brings together European and international circus networks to strengthen cooperation, shared advocacy and future‑oriented collaboration, with a specific focus on mental health and well‑being within circus organisations and their staff. The event is a two‑day gathering (7+8 May) for circus organisations, networks and professionals to exchange practices, explore collaboration and reflect on the future of the circus sector.
During this event, FEDEC will present its Take Care project (2024-2027), the first-ever EU project dedicated to supporting mental health and well-being in the circus arts sector, cofounded by Creative Europe, by:
– presenting the project objectives and first results;
– screening a Take Care short film to raise awareness on mental health issues in circus professional practice;
– discussion with invited speakers and the audience.
