Recovery Colleges Portugal: A Relevância do Suporte Interpares | The relevance of peer support (Portugese)

May 6 @ 15 h 30 min - 17 h 00 min

This workshop will explore how peer support can transform mental health journeys into pathways of participation, autonomy, and hope. Centered on lived experience, it creates an open and inclusive space for dialogue between individuals, practitioners, and community members, highlighting the power of shared learning and mutual support in recovery processes.

The workshop aims to promote lived experience as a key source of knowledge, foster social inclusion and meaningful participation, and encourage collaboration between services and communities. By sharing real-world examples and facilitating open conversation, it seeks to inspire new ways of supporting mental health in diverse and changing contexts.

Ultimately, this event contributes to a growing European movement that recognizes mental health as a shared responsibility. It reinforces the importance of connection, empowerment, and collective action in building resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
