MHE participates in the Estonian Presidency Conference on DI

MHE Policy Officer, Laura Marchetti, and MHE Senior Policy Adviser, Jan Pfeiffer, on behalf of the European Expert Group on the Transition from Institutions to Community Based Services (the EEG) , participated in the conference Dignity + Independent living = DI organised by the Estonian Presidency to the Council of the European Union. The conference was a positive commitment from the Estonian Presidency to bring forward the agenda on deinstitutionalisation (DI) at EU level. The conference gathered various stakeholder in the field of deinstitutionalisation, including users, service providers, EU funds managing authorities, government officials and was targeted to various groups relevant to the DI process, including people with mental health problems, children, people with disabilities, homeless people and families.

During one of the workshops, MHE presented its new Toolkit on Article 27 with a particular focus on supported employment and Individual Placement and Support (IPS).
