The Power of Prevention – Let’s Talk about Children Seminar

On 11 December 2025, Mental Health Europe, together with the University of Turku and the INVEST Research Flagship Centre (Finland), is hosting a European seminar on the impact of the Let’s Talk about Children (LTC) method on service systems across eight countries.

The seminar will bring together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and people with lived experience to:

  • Present an overview of child and family mental health in Europe

  • Share insights and experiences from partner countries over the past three years

  • Highlight key policy recommendations to sustain the method’s benefits

  • Explore future directions for LTC implementation across Europe

The event will take place at the Residence Palace (155 Rue de la Loi, Brussels) and will also be accessible online. Please note that interaction opportunities will only be available to in-person participants.

Programme Highlights

  • Presentation of the LTC method by Professor Emerita Tytti Solantaus (Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare).

  • Panel discussion on the role of structured mental health interventions in schools and healthcare systems, moderated by MHE.
