MHE launches video series on supported decision-making

Mental Health Europe (MHE) releases a video series to shine a spotlight on supported decision-making.

Supported decision-making allows people with psychosocial disabilities to pursue goals, make their own choices and exercise control over things that matter to them.

Last month, MHE and the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENHRI) released a joint report on supported decision-making. While significant progress has been achieved in some Member States there is still a long way to go. It is crucial to continue advocating for the implementation of supported decision-making in Europe to ensure that persons with psychosocial disabilities can fully enjoy their rights.

MHE envisions a Europe where full and meaningful participation is guaranteed at all levels of decision-making to provide persons with psychosocial disabilities with the opportunity to take responsibility for their own lives.
