artCEE: a regional call for creative submissions on the topic of ‘Resilience to Me’

artCEE is a regional, participatory call for action organised by Let’s CEE. We are inviting individuals across Central and Eastern Europe to submit creative works—including photography, visual art, and poetry—exploring personal and collective understandings of “Resilience to Me” or what resilience and mental health means to them. Open to all, the call aims to amplify diverse voices and lived experiences of mental health across the region, particularly among youth.

Let’s CEE is a not-for-profit initiative standing up for youth mental health across Central and Eastern Europe. We implemented low-intensity mental health care for youth locally, and come together as a regional community of practice.

As part of artCEE, all submissions will be showcased online as part of European Mental Health Week, creating a collective exhibition that reflects the plurality of resilience in changing social, cultural, and political contexts.

The project positions creative expression as both a reflective tool and a form of advocacy, highlighting how individuals and communities navigate challenges, inequality, and transformation. It also provides a platform for underrepresented voices, particularly young people, to contribute to regional mental health narratives.

We will accept submissions until 5th May. At this point we will gather all submissions and create a virtual exhibition which will be launched during the Let’s CEE Webinar for European Mental Health Week. We will be hosting further, in person exhibitions in CEE cities through May and the summer of 2026.
