MEET THE COMEDIANS

TRISTAN BARBER

Tristan Barber is known for his high energy shows marked with a dash of chaos and hilarious stories.

He is a standup comic, sketch writer, and actor. He moved from Canada to Brussels in his mid-20s and immersed himself in the world of EU politics, civil society, and international development, but he never could quite figure out how to send a ten word email in less than an hour, so his career as a project manager was short-lived.

Tristan’s comedy covers a wide range of topics through a uniquely cynical, yet playful, silly, and energetic tone.

He  is a writer, performer and improviser on the satire EU sketch and improv show, The Schuman Show and also featured as a standup at the Boom Chicago Amsterdam Comedy Festival in 2021. He is a member of Insecure & Dangereux, a staples of the English comedy scene in Brussels.

ABHI

Abhi once did standup at a LGBT event and got published in a magazine with the pride flag behind him.

People started referring to him as the “gay Leuven comedian”, and though he is straight he never corrected anyone – “I’m just happy to be called a comedian! “. He likes telling jokes with horrible puns hidden within just like raisins in a rum cake. He also talks in third person for no particular raisin.

IRIS COSTROP

Iris Costrop started doing comedy in April 2022 and has been enjoying entertaining audiences with their stories since then. Whether it’s about a car crash or lesbian myths, Iris takes you with them on a road trip in their mind.

SAM KIEBOOMS

Sam talks about his mental problems, procrastination and other reasons why he sent in this bio late.

He’s been playing comedy for a while and 5 out of 5 of his psychologists rated it “probably a great idea”. Upon review one of them even exclaimed “hey, this isn’t even bad”.

Come judge for yourself!
